Frankfurt sights

Before ist destruction during the last war´s air raids Frankfurt had the largest medieval gothic city center in central Europe. The cathedral was the coronation site of the German Kings of the old German Empire from 1562 to 1792, the coronations were celebrated on Römerberg, the central square in medieval Frankfurt. In St. Paul´s Church the first all- german Parliament met. Many famous people, like the writer Goethe and the philosopher Schopenhauer, were born or lived in Frankfurt.
